Ciao, I’m Gaetano, the founder of Casa Scollo.
I grew up in Sicily, where Sunday lunch was always about family, tradition, and a table full of homemade food. I created Casa Scollo to bring that feeling to Rochester — serving the kind of food you would find at Nonna’s table on a Sunday.
Fresh pasta, lasagne, meatballs, roasted chicken, homemade bread, and traditional Sicilian desserts — made with the same love and respect for tradition that I grew up with.

A timeless Italian classic, made completely from scratch at Casa Scollo. Tender slices of fresh eggplant are lightly floured and fried until beautifully golden, then carefully layered four times with our fresh tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, freshly grated Parmigiano, and fragrant fresh basil. Baked until bubbling and perfectly golden, our Parmigiana is rich, comforting, and full of the flavors of a true homemade Italian table.
Ingredients: Eggplant, tomato sauce, mozzarella, Parmigiano, fresh basil.
A traditional Sicilian preparation of sweet peppers slowly cooked with onions, olives, and capers in extra virgin olive oil. Finished with fresh basil and oregano, this rustic dish is full of Mediterranean flavor and is delicious served warm or at room temperature.
Ingredients: Sweet peppers, onion, olives, capers, basil, oregano, extra virgin olive oil.
Made completely from scratch at Casa Scollo, our traditional Lasagne alla Bolognese is prepared with homemade lasagna sheets layered with a rich beef and pork ragù, slow-cooked for hours to develop deep, comforting flavor. Creamy béchamel, Parmigiano, and mozzarella complete each layer before the lasagna is baked to golden, bubbling perfection.
